Humed Hidden Gems, Featuring: Aaliyah Lunan!

My dear Owls and Owlets, wouldn’t you like to know the upcoming celebrities in your faculty? Well, today I present to you Aaliyah Lunan. She’s a second-year student in the faculty of Humanities and Education, pursuing a Bachelors in Writing, Literature and Publishing. At first glance, especially with this information, she may appear to be a pretty standard student. However, miss Lunan is more than what meets the eye. When Aaliyah isn’t battling the books, she’s busy being a young creative making both entertaining and soulful content behind the scenes. Want to get to know her better? Let’s ask this upcoming star what makes her a HumEd Hidden Gem!

Q: What inspired you to start your YouTube channel?

Aaliyah: I've always been really big on content creation whether through photography, writing or through video creation. I had been thinking about it for a while, and I woke up one day and decided to go for it.

Q: Where do you draw inspiration from, when coming up with video concepts?

Aaliyah: I aspire to create the type of content that I enjoy watching. I have a few creators that I pull ideas from as well.

Q: I am aware that you have a blog site. What type of content can people find there?

Aaliyah: I post conversational type blogs about creativity, the work life balance, and adulthood.

Q: What is your traction-gaining process like, and do you typically engage with your audience?

Aaliyah: I share my content creation on my social media pages, and I love to engage with people who come across my work.

Q: How do you manage your time between content creation and school?

Aaliyah: It can get difficult and overwhelming but keeping a content planner is one way that I manage my time.

Q: Does having your work in the spotlight frighten or excite you, and why?

Aaliyah: It does a bit of both. It always adds an element of fear when you put yourself out there in any capacity, but it's also exciting because it's something I enjoy, and it has the potential to create income.

Q: Is there a specific video or blog post that you have created that you are most proud of?

Aaliyah: I believe that my spoken word poetry series on my YouTube channel is one of my creations that I'm most proud of.

Q: Do you plan to further develop your platforms in the future, or are these temporary endeavours?

Aaliyah: I plan to move into content creation more seriously in the coming years.

Q: Do you believe you were born with the instinct to create, or has something in your life sparked this desire?

Aaliyah: I believe that my drive to create is both something I was born with and something I developed over time.

Q: Does your work speak to a hidden personality, or is it that “what you see, is what you get”?

Aaliyah: My work is on a "what you see is what you get" basis.

Thanks for the insight into your life, Aaliyah!

So, now you know what makes Aaliyah a HumEd hidden gem, folks! Who would’ve thought? Doesn’t this make you wonder who else around you might be an upcoming celebrity? It sure makes me wonder.
